A LALAL.AI alternative with MIDI for every stem

LALAL.AI counts each stem type you pick against your minutes, and it doesn't make MIDI. StemX splits all six stems for one minute of balance per minute of audio and writes a MIDI file for each. LALAL.AI has more stem types and desktop and mobile apps.

Frequently asked questions

Is StemX cheaper than LALAL.AI?

For splits into several stems, usually. LALAL.AI multiplies the file length by the stem types you pick, so taking five parts out of a 3.5-minute song uses 17.5 Fast minutes. On StemX the same song uses 3.5 minutes for all six stems. If you don't mind LALAL.AI's slower Relaxed queue, Lite has no minute limit there.

When is LALAL.AI the better choice?

When you need stem types StemX doesn't have, such as strings, wind or synth, when you want a desktop app or a VST plugin, or when you need its voice cleaning and voice changing tools.

Does LALAL.AI export MIDI?

Its site doesn't list MIDI. StemX writes a MIDI file for each of the six stems and one combined file on every full split.
